Tattoos: The new commitment/fashion statement

After many years of bucking against tattoos and their supposed interpretations, Africans are beginning to accept this body art culture.
They say whatever image you show to use as you body art symbol, usually has its own meaning, but people have been seen spotting all kinds ranging from bible scriptures to Chinese qoutes

This fashion culture has been taken to the next level as some couples have abandoned rings and resorted to using tattoos as their show of commitment.

When Behati Prinsloo revealed her engagement tattoo — three small dots that run vertically down her ring finger — we weren’t sure of what to think about it. Frankly, how many girls will willingly give up jewelry for a love tat? Trust naija girls.

Anyway, Prinsloo admitted to setting aside her diamond in order to get inked with husband Adam Levine. On second thought, this practise can be symbolized as a show of permanence for the couple, and its actually very sweet.

Although this culture is yet to be adopted in Nigeria, we know its just a matter of time before, we take over. As usual.
