'I am single and searching"-Rita Dominic reveales

Unknown to many of her fans, one of her biggest heart aches giving her sleepless nights is her single status. And the Imo State-born star, who recently clocked 38, has finally bared her mind on the circumstances that led to her being single and searching at almost four scores on earth.

“I don’t talk about my personal life because some years ago, I was in this relationship that became public, and the press killed it. The relationship didn’t work out because the press put a lot of pressure on it and it didn’t work out; since then I decided to guard my personal life jealously.

“After that relationship I met somebody else and we dated for four years. We thought we were almost going to get married but it didn’t work out. I met somebody else and it didn’t work out again so I decided to just concentrate on my work. I embarked on a whole lot of projects, now I’m through with them and I think I am now ready for another. I am single and searching,” she said in a chat with Toolz on the Juice.

French designer Ebbesen wins Woolmark Texprint Award

The winner of the third annual Woolmark Texprint Award was chosen at Indigo, Paris. Signe Rand
Ebbesen, wins the second annual prize for her superb textile designs which were created with 60% or more Merino wool and honours the inventive use of wool in textile design.
Signe Rand Ebbesen
The prize was judged by John Walsh, managing director of Abraham Moon & Sons; Daliah Simble, head of sourcing & production, and Estelle Williams, collection development manager, at Roland Mouret. They selected Signe Rand Ebbesen as the winner out of the 24 shortlisted designers taking part in the Texprint programme this year, all of whom are presenting their work at Indigo.

Signe Rand Ebbesen received £1,000 in prize money at the event, which was presented by this year’s Texprint prize presenter; Maurizio Galante, member of the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture and Woolmark’s Peter Ackroyd. As part of her prize, she will also be given extensive training on the benefits and uses of wool through the nearest Woolmark International office.
John Walsh said the judges selected Signe because of her superb use of texture; she has a distinctive style and her understanding of the benefits of this natural sustainable fibre which she used to bring her work to life.

He said: “Some of the textures were beautiful and she has also understood the commercial side to her work - she can go far with it”. Estelle Williams agreed: “She has thought about the commerciality of her work which is really important shown by her ability to work to a brief”. Daliah Simble added: “We both loved Signe’s innovative techniques which we at Roland Mouret look for. We would love some of those fabrics at Roland Mouret”.

The judges also highly recommended Cherica Haye and Phoebe Brown, both RCA graduates for their innovative techniques and use of wool.

National Style Icons and Red Carpet Rockers: Michelle Obama and Kate Kate Middleton

There are style icons—and then there are Michelle Obama and Kate Middleton. These two role models for their respective nations are both at the pinnacle of taste and trendsetting, and also simultaneously right down here on earth with the rest of us—one reason among so many we love them.
Flawless FLOTUS:
Shifting our attention closer to home, let us count the ways we adore Michelle Obama as our national style hero. We love how the first lady's upped the game of her high-profile role with modern, even edgy touches—like those much-discussed youthful bangs.
Extra points for making affordable dressing—like looks from Banana Republic and J. Crew, readily available in malls and online across America—look so perfectly rich and chic.
Wash and Repeat:
And both Kate and Michelle have been known to wear the same look multiple times (just like the rest of us!), making for highly relatable style idols we love, love, love. (Did we mention we love them?)
Kate the Great:
First up: Kate. Was there any doubt the duchess would make our list? From glowing engaged beauty, to pre-baby-bump newlywed, to the picture of pregnant-dressing perfection, to gorgeous new mom, she can do no wrong with her super chic but also accessible style.
Every brand she turns up in—like the Reiss and Issa London frocks she wore for her engagement announcement and official photo—sell out the same looks promptly in stores. And she did for fascinators and headpieces what Carrie Bradshaw did for Jimmy Choos and Manolo Blahniks. What she touches turns to gold in the retail marketplace.
